Inaugurating Centre of Excellence ( Skill Development CSR Initiative in India ) by DAFFPL and SeedCSR


The need of a skilled person is the most important thing which exist in the today’s globalized world. Our country is also not far behind in fulfilling this task of making every effort to make its youth skilled and talented. Apart from the policies formulated by the government to enhance the skill qualities of the youth through CSR initiatives in India, the individual corporates are also trying to tackle this issue through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) interventions. Delhi Aviation Fuel Facility Private Limited (DAFFPL) has also tried to benefit maximum number of youth under their CSR paradigm. Partnering with SeedCSR, it has opened a Learning and Skill Development Centre in Mahipalpur for imparting skill training to the potential candidates in electric fitter trade and housekeeping.

The CentreOf Excellence was inaugurated on 26th December 2017 in Mahipalpur. The inauguration was done by our Chief Guest of HonourMr. Pradeep Panicker, CSR Chairman DAFFPL, and Mr. Anirban Roy, Managing Director SeedCSR. The event was also graced by Mr. Rakesh Arora, CEO, Mr S. Bhattacharya Company Secretary and Mr. AnkruChugh CSR Coordinator DAFFPL. The guests were highly enthusiastic for this venture and participated in this event with full vigor. Mr. Pradeep Panicker and Mr. Anirban Roy along with the other officials from DAFFPL visited the entire Centre of Excellence (CoE) and had a very influential interaction with the selected students. These students were selected on the basis of active mobilizations done in the communities by the SeedCSR team. A total of 100 students have been selected after the mobilizations, 50 each for housekeeping and electric fitter trade.

The event was further graced by Mr. Pradeep Panickerwho shared his valuable thoughts on the importance of CSR initiatives in India as well as skill development for the betterment of our society. A number of discussions also took place with the students and a lot of their queries were solved. The DAFFPL’s officials also appreciated the Electric fitter and housekeeping labs. They were very positive about CSR skill development training and expecteda lot of skilled personnel after utilizing these labs.
